Shopify eCommerce Manager
The Reptile Hotel is a state-of-the-art specialist reptile store known for its outstanding service and attention to detail, we provide tailored setups and support for our customers to ensure they have everything they need to provide the best care for their pets both instore and online. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shopify eCommerce Manager to join our team to drive the growth of our online presence.
As the Shopify eCommerce Manager at The Reptile Hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimisation of our Shopify-based online store. Your role will be pivotal in driving revenue growth, enhancing the user experience, and ensuring a seamless customer journey from browsing to purchase.
1. Strategy Development
- Develop and execute the ecommerce strategy in alignment with company goals, focusing on increasing online sales, improving customer engagement, and enhancing brand presence.
2. Shopify Store Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our Shopify stores, including product listings, inventory management, pricing, and promotions across all brands.
- Ensure all product information, images, and descriptions are accurate, appealing, and up to date.
- Monitor and maintain the overall website functionality, user experience, and responsiveness.
- Ensure store is compliant with all regulatory requirements
3. Conversion Rate Optimisation:
- Implement A/B testing and other optimisation strategies to improve the conversion rate and overall performance of the online store.
- Analyse user behaviour and sales data to identify opportunities for improving the shopping experience and increasing conversion rates.
4. Digital Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with our marketing apprentice to create and execute online marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and pay-per-click campaigns.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to drive traffic and sales.
5. Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Ensure exceptional customer experience by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback from online customers.
- Implement and manage customer support channels, providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
6. Analytics and Reporting:
- Regularly analyse metrics and generate performance reports to assess the effectiveness of strategies and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Utilise Google Analytics and other tools to track website traffic, customer behaviour, and sales trends.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A university degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or related experience.
- Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify stores
- Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, UX/UI principles.
- Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, PPC and social media.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the wider teams.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with reptile-related products or the pet industry is a plus.
